I only buy books on line; I like shopping for all else in person..
especially consignment shops, Salvation Army, yard sales, etc. I find it fun and relaxing to pick and paw through...stuff, okay junk sometimes, lol. But with an eagle eye, great, often nearly unbelievable bargains can be had. Glad you found a deal and enjoyed the fruits of it, Dear Kabu..

Well at least this one works
I never understood the appeal of the gadgets, to be honest, but then I am not very welcoming of new technology :P

Re your previous blog Kabu No one wants to take responsibility for anything these days. The trouble is here that a culture of reward for any accident or advice is paramount. I read only yesterday that a Pick your own fruit farmer was closing this operation down as people were even claiming for slipping up if it rained. People are afraid to sweep snow off the path lest someone should trip. It has all got out of hand. I usually buy eggs and look at them when they are out of date or supposed to be. About a year ago I bought two lovely sponge tins, one of these days I am going to make a beautiful sponge cake, but I am trying not eat carbs.

Yes it was remarked keep eating grapes they are full of sugar.

LOL - my mom was the worst addict for that - she would buy anything advertised in the TV guide. I can still remember her orange living room set; looking good on paper, but arriving in pieces in boxes. Even assembled it looked terribly cheap!!! She knew it but, to save pride, put it in the huge living room anyway, whee it was completely out of place. Good for you, Kabu - don't give in!!
