Kabu.....
In the past 18 years I've put in well over 2 million miles of travel....it all boils down to the fact that...."Home is where the heart is!"

Enjoy reading back over your posts, Kabu. Your writing makes me feel we're having our daily chat, leaning on the fence between neighbors. It is wonderful, isn't it, when you are exactly where you feel you should be? Hugs!

Kent and Canterbury are my two most favourite English cities of all, Grandmummy, and I ache to see them again.  If I could, and you were willing to have me along, I would go home to Australia with you so that you wouldn't dread it so.  Would you like me to look after Poppy for you while you're away?

I love you.

Hot and humid weather can definitely cause people to drag around for a bit. Thankfully it will not last too long. I have not seen any change in the quality of your posts. They are still fine.

I know what you mean Kabu.  I also loved to travel before but now I rather stay home.  ITs such a hazzle to travel now a days... so much waiting in lines and being searched and delayed and mistreated... who needs it!  As you said there are wonders everywhere and home is a good place to find them :-)  xoxoxo

I think it is home where you belong dear Kabu because your heart is there, held so preciously by the one you love.  I hope you take Wiley John with you..the last time you went back to Australia, all of us had to do a countdown for your return.. I love the two of you and I just feel like giving you a warm hug my darling Kabu.

I understand what you mean about that feeling that you 'belong' in a place somehow. When I stepped off the plane years ago in New York, I felt just the same way...it was in upstate New York, and that damp dirt even...smelled like home...if you can believe that. Everything inside of me sang...I was so happy to be there. I think our souls 'know' where we hail from.

Kabu, this hot humid weather is enough to drag the desire to do anything
right out of a person...our air has been going non-stop...one place you mentioned I would really like to visit is Stonehenge (I understand there is so much more to be seen underground).....(you and Wiley take it easy and don't let this heatwave get to you).....

Kabu

You will look back at this time as your happiest days, so enjoy and store your memories.

Happiness is something we do not regard as a luxury at the time, sometimes it's just a flash and disappears, perhaps contentment is the nearest thing that we can experience for a longer period. I am telling you this because you know it already. Incidently I have been stoning cherries to freeze. There are more but I know no one will want to climb the tree. There are two Walnut trees  and  a damson plum tree left as a center piece for the estate, I used to climb the trees and shake the walnuts down, but no one seems to know what they are, probably think they come in packets at Xmas. Stop moaning C.C. give the girl a rose.

KABU
Yes, you are home. From everything I have read from you and the Wiley one, you are where you belong, where you were meant to be. you crossed many stepping stones to reach your destination.

Kabu, been on a bit of a stay-away myself, just taking a break.  Our temps have been moderate and lots of rain and sunny days.  I'm enjoying a few days of summer freedom, yet working on my goals.  You know, I visited England in 1973, but missed most of the tourist area due to a lack of financial support.  i did work, at #8 Baker St, and enjoyed a few months of London in Autumn.  But now is not the time for anyone to be travelling.  Dangerous world out there.

I have never had the urge to travel, the furthest I went and the first time I ever flew was to Winnipeg and I was in my  late 50's.
