I've been housebound for the past few -- choosing AC over fresh air.
There's humidity, and when I climb into my little car and the temp gauge says 94 or 100 I just wilt. I still see the pruning that needs to be done, the ivy that needs to be cut back, the trimming I need to do around the sidewalk... just can't work up the enthusiasm enough to get at it, what with sweat and squinting against the sunlight.

Cat are like that
I had a Siamese who would de-pot all my plants if I left the house and she was mad. I hope you wouldn't have put Wiley in he basement.LOL Although before Richard got really sick, I sometimes invited him to spend the day in his shed when he was being stubborn and critical and I didn't feel good. It made for a better evening.LOL
