And I love the daughter's character as you describe her -- succeeded in spite of daddy dearest's disappearance, generous of heart but not a sucker.

Oh how tragic Kabu, it is really sad the daughter could not at least check on him. Thank you for stopping by and yes the break was good but I did read you though..I just want to let you know that I will be on and off here for a bit...I know you will miss me :) One daughter coming for the hols, the other going off almost at the same time, I am preparing for an exam, dad is sick, work, the squirrel, the cat..oh endless..LOL. Love you guys.
