I always get "achy" when the weather is damp or a storm is brewing. It is quite painful.

Yes, those hawks - when you feed songbirds, you also and inevitably feed hawks. We have a couple of Coopers nesting in the woods nearby, and they make the rounds regularly...

I'm so glad that you have such a beautiful part of it in your life to appreciate.

Ladybugs -- available at some garden stores -- love aphids.
It's a natural way to get them off your roses and other blooming things. With a tasty buffet in your garden, they'll stick around for as long as necessary.  And I know what you mean about the achy-breaky joints. They don't withstand gardening like they used to, do they?

Poor Kabu, those nasty pains are so debilitating, I'm sure you are using muscles which you didn't know existed, it doesn't matter what one grows there is always some varmint waiting to take a slice. Try to be the hostess with the mostest.
