Kabu, I thought you said you have breakfast with a big ape EVERY morning!

That's pretty neat that the orangutan offered you food. You bonded quickly albeit too quick as the near end of the story shows...

How cool is that?!!!!!

I might have enjoyed watching that, but I don't think I'd
want to get that close to an Orangutan. Especially one with a baby in hand. Mothers can be so protective...  Sounds like a wonderful experience.

Hey, this sounds interesting. Do they still have these Breakfat-with-the-
orangutan trips/shows?

What a brilliant story! Ed and I went to Singapore zoo last year, with our eldest daughter, her husband and our granddaughter, then aged three. I don't think they do breakfast with the orangutans now, but we had our picture taken with them. They sat on a branch above us, but this long arm kept sneakin down and playing with my hair. It was really spooky - and a bit scary!

Zoo
So many adventures Kabu and such a delicate exploration by a nursing mother.

That is so very interesting! I should've liked to have dined with the orangutan (sp?) too, but minus the liberties she took with you. She took friendly to a whole new level...!

Kabu
That is incredible. I think she was simply acknowledging how alike you were, now I would have fainted if she had handed the baby over for a feeding. LOL What a life you have had. Too much fun. LOL

They can be quite curious, playful creatures...mostly at our expense.  What a wonderful expirience!  Truly beautiful animals...
