What's strange is that I am very good at listening...

but if it gets very long, without knowing it I just space out. I can actually appear to be listening the full time and even with small comments.

Early in life when things were too painful, I learned this technique to make teachers and such think I was actually paying attention in class, while I was actually deep in thought.

There is something to be said for the person who listens. I have seen so many relationships deteriorate and eventually collapse because one or both would not listen. Hopefully people will follow the tips you provide here in this post.

with my daughter and myself she says I dont pay attention but I do but she isnt clear, with men I wont say what I am thinking it may offend you
