This is good.  I was one of a class of 404, more than half of them boys, and I have no idea what happened to most of them.  I even lost track of Twinkletoes for many, many years before I ran across him again.

Interesting, I had a friend with hemophilia, and one of her sons had it and stopped speaking to his mother because he "Blamed" her for giving birth to him. Strange world eh?

A great remembrance piece about a great guy.Yes.....given factor 8 from
blood to assist in clotting.....it killed off all our kids in Australia when I was working Haematology..they contracted HIV and then were ostracised because they must be Gay and were the new untouchables because one might catch it from looking at them. A really sad time.

Such a heartfelt salute to an old friendship and friend--

You make me want to salute him, too.

Mossyrock... I drive through it from time to time, on my way elsewhere.  It is in a beautiful part of the world, but I can see how growing up there could make someone... impatient... with small-town life.  First time I noticed it was May 18th, 1980, when it was under a pall of volcanic ash.  We drove by back roads under the Mt St Helens ash cloud, and came back west via Rte 12, found that the eastbound road was closed to traffic at Mossyrock.
