I never realized how rough you had it. My heart goes out to you.

CORNCRAKE
No umbrage whatsoever, CornCrake. I'm getting to that point in my life, as well. Actually, it feels pretty good. Remember Sophia on the Golden Girls, did you ever watch that? She had a stroke that left her without the ability to censor herself...and she was a riot. She said EVERYTHING she thought. I've always been a bit jealous of that!

Gain one

Yes Darson I read it through from the beginning and got the feeling of your family, sometimes things people do appear strange to children. I would imagine that your Grandmother really loved her husband, but she wasn't going to show it openly. Your father and mother were not bad people, I'm not saying that they treated you fairly, but you have intelligence and ability.

I can imagine your heartbreak and your retreat into fantasy, every-one desires to be loved and it is missing in many families. Thank you for not taking umbrage at my previous comment, I did worry about this. When one gets older one tends to speak what they feel unfortunately sometimes.

wow you left me speechless
I would guess that your mother probably found that he was molesting you. Thats the feeling I get, and I can't wait to hear more. This must be very tough coming out, but its coming out great. keep it up :)
