Hmmm.
Longevity was reported in a Ukranian community where lots of people ate the dregs of honey production. That is, bee pollen. People reached 125 years of age, they say, there. I've tried bee pollen. It seems to interfere with thought. I'm wondering now whether those bee pollen eaters might not have just forgotten how old they were....lol.

dsm - I dont know whether to laugh or cry when I read about the church bit..and it is NOT true that those group don't make it to Monday Lunch!!LOL, I used to be quite active in our local  BEC group but left due to time constraints and other things. We have a great community although politics do exist, they are very helpful and caring in their outlook. Wonder though about the outliers~Thanks for the visit and comment. I honestly don't know what the poem was about and just went with the flow.

Something
This was quite interesting people have lost that community spirit. When I was young I traveled through villages and and as a man told me later that as a boy he knew all the names of the pet dogs. Of course Dementia wasn't as noticeable because the surroundings were familiar and a the afflicted would be at home in the community until the inevitable conclusion. If moved to a so called sanctuary, probably three weeks,  it was whispered, less.  C.C.
