It did take a lot longer than it was supposed to, majroj.  Take an old computer with an 80 Gig hard drive running on XP - a brand new machine with a 400 Gig hard drive running on Windows 7 - and a year old machine running on Vista.

Stir and place in an oven at 375 degrees.  Then stand back when the stirrer starts pulling her hair out.

Azur

Ell used a memory stick, Azur, but it didn't work they way it was supposed to.  I know that Ariala writes articles for sites, and I've tried (albeit against their rules) writing for Constant Content and Associated Content, but the rewards were derisory.

Helping people edit or develop their work sounds extremely difficult, but then you are a professional writer.  I'll have to think of some other way of making money.

TAPS
I didn't think I'd live past 20, the way I rode that motorbike, Taps.  Spending my twentieth birthday in hospital with broken bones was as close as I came.  I like your comment about not needing money after getting buried.

Isn't it strange: When I was a youngster I never in my wildest dreams considered that I might outlive my money.  I'd better hurry up and find a way of making money as one of my personal pensions stops when I'm 75 - I never considered I'd live that long either.

Re: If Ell's computer has a USB port, you can buy a flash drive for not much
Ell's computer does have a USB port, Pat, and she used a flash drive to transfer her files.  I have a large (kinda obsolete) backup disc that I save everything to once a month.

Taking a little longer than we thought?
Testing one two three. Hope all's well.

Pat's idea is good. The memory stick
As for making money on the internet. I know there are people, some on Blogit, who write articles for sites. Not big payers but alright if you can churn out articles. The thing I do is help people edit or develop their work.

If you get any good answers on that last question, let me know.  I think I thought I would die by 70, and with a paid up burial plan, wouldn't need money after that.

If Ell's computer has a USB port, you can buy a flash drive for not much
money and download the hard drive onto it, then copy it to the new machine. It's an excellent backup system. When I think of it, I copy my documents file to one about once a week.
