What is real?
It seems to me that a lot of people have stuck up ideas about what is or is not "really published". I think sharing your work with others is publishing. It doesn't really matter if you are self-published by making xerox copies, it's still published. Of course, fame and fortune are nice too, and that may not come to the writer who is self-published, or who gets published in an online journal. I also think everyone has to start somewhere.
