...and a very Happy Birthday to you

...yes, you say it so well
...I too ...seem to notice more things as I get older ...smaller miracles now like the 'mini-dragon' lizards in the grapevine... and the 'mini-helicopter' humming bird sampling the apple tree blossoms... and a group of crows having a neighborhood meeting... with spirited debates along the telephone pole wires... miraculous life... beyond any total explanation... just live it, moment to moment.  Thanks for sharing...

OutaBreath
Well Happy Birthday my friend, you write wonderful posts and there should be lines of books on a shelf that you're the wonderful author of. I wouldn't be able to tell you what I've learned either, or what would come out would be bitter, and nobody needs that. Ahh but imagine now at 73 I'm married and in love and in a week Kabu and I will have a birthday each, one day apart.

You must be a lovely person to get along so well with your EX!
Hill-dweller,
If my ex were a chiropracter, there is no way that I would lay face-down on a table, with her standing over me, and TOUCHING ME! If she feels anything close to 10% of the way that I feel about her, one of us would probably be wheeled away, on a gurney. To paraphrase Ron White, "You can't fix psychotic, either!" I may sound bitter, but I actually feel blessed. Becoming free from her social/interpersonal problems, regarding her skewed mental perceptions, and who she decided finally to blame, was the best thing that she ever did for me, maybe the ONLY good thing!

Happy birthday a day late...
I imagine, among other improvements that came with time, that your BS detector is working better than it ever did before, and you can spot a con artist at 500 yards without binoculars. You've no doubt learned that the road to hell is paved with good intentions and five minutes looking at a not quite round moon is a coin to be counted any day of the week. And you've come to value your children for all they've taught you.

You seem to have a creatively earthy life. Keep it up!

Wow, what a terrific post -- and Happy Birthday!
This may be the line of the week: "crows that will arrive later and sit like black teeth around the rim of the dumptster."

I love that imagery!
