well, It looks as though the water will stop falling from the sky
At last today I saw a peek of sun just before it set tonite.Water levels are at twice flood stage in several rivers here in the east. Now I only hope all of the old dams hold most of R.I.'s infrastruture was built long before I was born in 61.and has not really ever been tested .The main highway here is Route95, it runs north to south through the state and there is nowhere in the state it cant be reached in an hour or less. RI is only 35 miles wide and I guess it only covers maybe about 200 sq miles total.Well, the highway is closed!! And is expected to be closed for at least a couple more days. The area where it bridges over the Pawtuxet River had water levels so high that breached the top of the bridge and covered both north and south bound lanes. Historic levels. Many places have flooded so bad that people were evac'd where I live in Providence it looks as though nothing even happened The roads are dry after todays break in the rain and there  are not even puddles left now but only 3 miles away at my son Pauls house the river filled his back yard and came to within 20ft of his backdoor. Many roads were blocked off and a usual 15 minute ride took me almost 2 hours. So now I say LET THE SUN SHINE IN and comeon fishing season!!
