kooka, it's not sbout blame, it's about the times. Back then we were under
attack and the entire area from Jordan to India semed on the verge of going over to the extremist revolution. Getting into afghanistan and then diverting to Iraq was a tricky move and only history will say if it was worth it, but now there is a stable democratic Iraq, not a safe haven for terrorists. Afghanistan is bucking up on their own turf, and Pakistan has snapped out of it. I think Obama has half a chance to extricate most of our troops by next year, and I hope so.
True that we were deep in the sh*t after bush left, but Obama has had the sense to realize his job is to secure the nation in Bush's wake. i trust him.
