u give me hope.  I have had a rough few weeks dealing with a flood of memories due to therapy.  I will be posting more soon.  Just knowing that someone can relate to my messed up childhood. This gives me so much hope. That I can get through this mournful time.  In  my house I was to be seen and not heard.  I have been there . While in fostercare I was grounded for 18wks straight due to grades. I spent most of my teenage yrs grounded to my room.   Thank u so much .

Such a sad sad story and all the worse for being true.
reminds me of that book...flowers in the Attic..... be at peace because your own dear children have enjoyed real parental love.

Believe it or not, he was working in his doctorate when he finally retired. He was a professor in the Medical field, at a Christian University. And I've learned that one does not have to live in a trailor to be trashy. Evil and mental illness know no class nor substance. No matter how many titles and degrees one has, they can still come up lacking in character.

I am grateful for the good that came from an awful situation...that of my lifelong enjoyment of writing. That's the astounding part; that something useful can come from a dark experience.

I wish I could say that his attempts to control has stopped; it has not. This person is almost eighty and is still stalking his prey, those he feels he owns. A sick, sick situation. And a very sick man.

That man had really serious problems! I am really shocked at all this! A fist in the face for expressing an opinion? And practically locking you away in your 'cave'? What the hell kind of 'professor' was your father? One sometimes finds that kind of behavior among trailer trash, but one doesn't expect it from someone with some education...

I've been able to write many wrongs in journals and on Blogit, and I see that you have done the same as well.

You need another editor
There are books and books. You might change how you are telling it by making the listener real but don't do anything to it you don't want to do. Your writing is compelling. Be blessed.
