Re: Never thought I'd see Hotlips again! well done, 2902!
I, appreciate that - thanks.  This is going to be great - I've worked with this director before and she's the best - funny, organized, able to communicate easily, full of bright ideas.  Interesting - our script is based on the original novel, not on the movie or tv series. My character, General Hammond - a ramrod - was in neither. As for Hotlips, you learn how she got her name, and she never gets it on with Frank Burns, who leaves the story quite early.  Klinger apparently was invented for the tv series, but the rest are all there (we have a great Trapper John - in real life he works in a car wash!  Go figure.)  Anyway, the cast is young and zany - rehearsals are a real trip for a 75-year old, but I'm keeping up as best I can.

Re: temporarily left Blogit
Well, welcome back, and thank you for your kind words!  And the acting IS fun!  The cast met tonight for the first time, and we're a very enthusiastic bunch, I can tell you!

I just happened by because I temporarily left blogit. I'm impressed with the 60 poems and the acting seems great. Let your muse sweep you where she fancies.

Re: goodbye
As for the big money, all I've ever heard is that writing poetry is one of the classier ways to starve, so maybe I'll stick to the Yellow Tail and whatever's been in the fridge for more than an hour.  But seriously, you guys haven't gotten rid of me - I'll still be posting the odd poem now and then.  I just won't be obsessing about writing something to post each night.  The writing felt good, on the one hand, and on the other, I can get lazy, so I made it into a kind of ritual one a day.  What's more, I was getting stuff off my chest. But I definitely feel a certain relief now that I've stopped/slowed down.

I may not be writing as much, but I'll be reading.  So, keep 'em flyin'!

Re: Congratulations and yes, please keep us posted.
If there's anything good to report, I will.  Maybe I should change 2902 to the MASH unit#, 4077.

Thanks - the Germans don't take chances - they say "break your neck" too.

Fantastic ~ Congratulations - sail on with your muse and I hope you visit and now and then.  We, my husband and I, enjoy Spoon River Anthology.  You take good care and 'break a leg' ~ Elyse

Re: Isn't the good luck message for actors "break a leg" ?
Sure is.  Also - I've learned to my horror - the French word for crap - merde, I think it's spelled.

So have a wonderful time,
never fluff a single line,
do your best and have a ball,
celebrate every curtain call.
