Re: Wine list
I always remember a Consumer Reports article comparing paper towels: okay, Bounty IS better, but is the difference worth the extra money?  I'm content with an Australian brand called Yellow Tail.  Do you have it over there?

The prices are incredible(even beer has gone up!), but the pompous pretentious language helps pass the time while we wait for our order to come.  But, come to think of it, we don' t eat out much any more anyway - too expensive.

Wine list

I have tried cheaper varieties against more expensive cheap wines and couldn't tell a lot of difference. As you say somethings one would not want to taste, perhaps the real high quality would appeal, but not at ten dollars a sip. Whatever that is now in sterling. A dollar used to be the term given to five shillings my take home pay once, now called twenty -five pence. It might buy half a cup of coffee.

Yes there are deer roaming around near here, once they would have been poached  and the unlucky culprit if caught would harshly dealt with.  So I was informed by a relative, his great grampy had been in that trade. Thank you for your comments.

My problem with the wine list, most places, is that I can see
the price, and maybe I'm getting cheap in my old age, but it always seems hyperinflated. Guess I'm just never going to be a wine snob.
