I can walk away from a bad book easily and prefer to head for a good one in a hurry to get the taste of the bad one out of my head. sam

I'm like your mom and grandma, no matter how much I dislike a book, I feel I have to finish it! although it mostly happens to me with non-fiction books rather than novels. And the same thing goes for movies .. I have to watch a movie till the end no matter how much i hate it

J For myself it always did happen. I used to read many books in a month. Now I take my time during my own projects. I’m reading a book that was left free for the taking (Help yourself) in a box for a book drive. BC–A, Bill’s Roost

I have only developed that useful talent in the past few years, and boy, it is a time and energy saver.  I do like to browse library shelves for an author I don't know but might love, and rather than read any blurb on the cover, open the book at random and read a page.  This method never fails to tell me whether to bother.
