don't you know how many jobs are created by unemployment benefits/
these people pay the rent, buy clothing, buy food, pay utilities with that money.
eliminate the money and guess how many owners of housing units, maintenance people, department and discount store workers, grocery workers, and electric & gas workers would be out of jobs.
but other than than, this keeps people going until they can find the next job -- they aren't out on the street, hungry, cold, knocking at the door of shelters and food banks and holding up signs at intersections "WILL WORK FOR FOOD".
but you conservatives don't care about other people anyway. It hasn't hit home in your lifetime.
