Talking of descriptive powers, Pat, your description of spring on the farm leaves nothing to the imagination.  As for the story locale, guess where NaNo is based?

I found provocative and interesting your alternate signs of spring. There’re there but we usually fade them off I guess. Also, thank you for your excellent comment on Montage about MADD. Indeed they do much to stop drunk driving.  love. BC–A, Bill’s RJLst

Aah, your descriptive powers are great and powerful...
Time travel is possible in the imagination, or in memory. I spent a school year on the farm when I was 13 -- and spring meant slogging through mud, mid-calf-high mud, to slop the hogs, and hogpen mud is a force to reckon with. Smugglers. You've got so much material there to work with. The locale for a story. Nice!
