It's all a Dream
Seriously, the whole idea was a dream. It came to me the other night and I wrote it down as I saw it--I left out the whining from the kids who didn't want to go.
I would guess if you could give them memories and an education while in statis, you could also give them the skills to prepare for adulthood. Another option is they leave statis to live in sort of a halfway house until the adjust to real life.

A Parent of Teens Responds
Yes, parenting teens is stressful and, yes, I'm on medication for high blood pressure. Your opinion on putting them in "stasis" until they outgrow this hormonal period of their lives is interesting. How would this prepare them to deal with adulthood? I have to admit there are times when I'd love to have a break from parenting. The constant bombardment of their opinions and emotions is tough to handle -- but I'm going to miss them when they grow up and move on with their lives!
