That makes me think of my neighbor. He's always blaring his base at the most inconvenient times for me. What really bugs me is that it's usually a repetative base beat that doesn't change through the entire track.

I hear ya....! Earplugs and another room to go to are my suggestions. Perhaps a white noise making machine....this sleep/peace thing is nothing to be taken lightly. We all need a lot more of it than we think...!

I read your words and see myself fighting the noise with that great
fold of silence I have availed to slip beneath to escape it all...just this morning, that unforgiving radio with all of its inane blather...an alarm clock from another room of a house falling down around me...such a cool writer you are! More of the same but not so loud next time?

We had to practise meditation in psyche class and I loved it. I need to do that more often. A person can literally shut the world out, no matter how much internal or external noise. It's a good deal, that.

it is my thoughts that make so much noise in my head and they are louder sometimes than the external noises of my day.
i meditate and put all those thoughts to sleep it is luverly......

Perhaps someone needs to start some target practice with the Red Rider b-b gun on their speakers.....not neighborhood friendly behavior! If they're going to jam out, they at least need to invite y'all over for a potluck or something.

They say that loud music stimulates a place in your mind that nothing else does. I like to jam out on occasion. My kids laugh at me, like WHAT, old people can't turn it up, too???

Great story poem. I was awaken by a new neighbors resonating base vibrating my windows at 2 in the morning and played all day long celebrating their new home but when one of the old neighbors from down the block walked up the music stopped I guess he was dreaming in his down comforter and was disturbed. Thanks and Dream on in silence. Fema
