All extremes are bad ... fanatism ...alcoholism.....  You express it so well :-)  xoxo

I was married to an alcoholic and have no use for that type of person! Even when they say they are or have been sober I do not believe it! The more they talk about it the less I believe! But give me God's intoxication and I sip on His heavenly wine as it were for eternity! Loved the contrasts and so terse yet so meaningful! Some times I think the shortest poems can say the most! Most excellent poem! sam

Yes, God-intoxication and being spiritually drunk is where I would rather be rated insane with --- being drunk in the Spirit is so much more enjoyable ~ I absolutely give you , Aba ~ Ely  - keep the faith and your light will shine among peers and all, as witness to a more enlightened heart.

Hmmmm. I've always thought those with alcoholism problems were very tender souls that were having trouble adjusting to life here, vs. Heaven. That was their way of coping, as is my religion mine. The same with drugs and anything else that's addictive. They are looking for a buffer to get them through this life...who are we to judge, I'm thinking. What a good post, abanerjee. It sure got me thinking, as all of your posts do.
