I think people who see the cold as evidence against global warming are in complete denial - it's been made pretty clear that one of the consequences of global warming is that there isn't going to be just warming but extremes in climactic conditions - snow, storms floods, droughts. This cold snap could be seen as further proof of the global climate meltdown.
