I wish more people would realize that cruelty breeds cruelty
but of all weird things I found that the most cruel people in here will be very kind to terrorists. I find it odd, but I bet there is a reason for that.

There is a reason for R.I.P.! If one has nothing good to say, they should keep quiet! It is very discouraging when people chastise those who have passed on! For me, it says more about who they are than the one they are condemning! I agree with the right to express one's thoughts! It is fundamental to a free society! sam

I am not familiar with the situation, but I do find hearing of these sort of belittlings to be quite disgusting. Civility's dead.

I agree with you
My political views also differed from his but he was a great American and served our Country well both as a Congressman and as a Marine. During the past presidential election Richard had to watch Fox News all day so I got to hear a lot about him. It is such a shame that the good that he did is not the foremost stories being told and celebrated about his life.

Our material advancements make us so heady with ego that it has the opposite effect on our civil behavior, and that is greatly undermining of advancement itself. We tend to become more machine-like, heartless, and in total disregard of the survivors in the family if the departed is called a 'new citizen of hell' ... 'his death a matter of rejoicing', then we ourselves forfeit the right to be called humans, in fact, are not without sensitivity.

I do agree with you Dan. It's a disgrace to humanity even when we mock or jeer or make any snide remarks at someone's passing - especially for the loss of families involved. I tell you, I believe this world is getting more and more callous and desensitized. Elyse
