Re: elysianfields
You know Aba ~ I used to sit and pen early on - like in my teens - and I'm a bit older now (mid-life maybe?) and I thought of times I felt so awkward in what I would write and I'd scratch and ponder and reflect on it and think, 'this is just plainly stupid...' but as you say, confidence began to build as I kept in practice - kept stretching my mind, my perspective, my vision - my heart - (even as it was stretched by life; even by an english teacher at one point) --- and like an artist that puts his brush or pencil to pad or canvas, the strokes disciplined became, become easier and easier to blend and create with ~ capturing the essence of what is inside of you - of your Id - and I'm seeing here that young Aba, you have much depth and wisdom and so, I am refreshed again and again by your inspiration and ability to write from your being - your pith - your heart. yes, your evoking of 'rationalist fancies' are so enlightening and It is indeed my pleasure-certainly an honor to be able to be part of your growth with blissful interpretations and joined with the arena of your fans.  Keep writing - you've got a gift.  Ely

You know Ely, earlier I used to write only prose, never ever dabbled with poetry thinking it to be not my cup of tea. With your egging me on, I tried shyly, initially, then slowly I gained in confidence and I am now immensely enjoying my new-found love. There is so much metaphorically stating in poetry that it is a good mental exercise, rich, and very paying. Including sam, I will be ever grateful to you for inspiring me in the evocation of rationalist fancies.`Aba

Love this Aba ~ so rich of things that would make one ponder --- who could have disinterest after reading your poetic inspiration here? - I think I'm going to go through a list of 'worthless' thoughts I may have yet and consider this before me.  Wow, your pen is on fire and your wisdom is Gold ~ Ely

Being inattentive to one's environs can raise havoc in many areas! Your imagery is so crisp and poignant! So I tip my poetic hat, too! sam
