I've got hundreds of ye olde black and white photos, but thousands of 35mm slides I took on my Canon A1. Like you, I could convert them but why? Nobody is going to see them even if they are on the PC. I'll let my kids throw them out when I shuffle off.

Getting like Bradbury's Farenheit 451 & Asimov's "Foundation" future?
I recentl;y came into possession of dozens of old photos, and the questins are do I have what it takes to present them, and if so, do I want to spend the days it will take (total) to do it?

Our family insisted as well. I can see their point of view. In the old days we used to go around the country visiting boring old farts to show them photographs of the kids. Now, all the children need to do is have the photos in one place and force the old farts to visit. We will soon never see the family in the flesh.
