It would be great if the ideals personified by Obama could actually be digested or even appreciated by the 'great unwashed', in this case meaning our elected polititians. Maybe the failure of such big ideas: for equality in advantages, cutting off of rampant greed, of compassion for the powerless . . . in America, no less . . . is more telling than we'd like to think.
