It's true that I am extra sensitive when it comes to anything from the 'past' that doesn't need to be hanging around....especially in the bathroom. No, that would not be my game plan...I very consciously got rid of pictures of ExMan (even when it hurt to), to make room for whatever my future would hold, and to speed healing. I thought most people thought that way, except if it were in the case of a death. But I'd fully expect to be prosecuted if I'd had, say, an old piece of ExMan's bathrobe or something in the bathroom...for over a year before it was discovered. Yep, that's a problem.

Dear one I think I need to sit and pray for you. A man who sews his wife a jacket, divorces her, brings the sleeve to house his ferret in his new wife's bathroom... All this after a philandering husband leaving you to move during labor is too much! You are a saint. No there is not a man on the earth who is, nice enough, handsome enough, rich enough or whatever else enough to bring me a ferret even on the property muchless in the bathroom. I have been married 26 years to mine so no ex bothers me, but a ferret would bring down the neighborhood if it was expected to stay in my house. You are a brave and lovely woman.

Point well taken. I've addressed that issue (at great length!) in previous posts. It was the one 'bonus' that I did not appreciate that came with the union. Daisy is now relocated and living comfortably in a Ferret Condo that Husband constructed while I was out of town for the weekend. She dwelt in our master bathroom for two years. I fully expect to go to be blessed beyond imagination for that, somewhere down the line. I did not kill her, (or anyone else) and we actually bonded...a major learning experience when it comes to patience. Thanks for catching that one, and you're right. It's crazy.

Well! It'll take me a while to digest all this - quite apart from the cleaning bit - but it's the ferret in the bathroom that might give me strange dreams tonight, regardless of whose sleeve it inhabits...

It was rather unnerving....good word for that...yeah, not much surprised me after that. And there was more to come...there always is in a situation such as that one. Once a stinker, always a stinker. Oh well, I've 'transcended' that circumstance! Thank goodness!

Darson - That's quite unnerving finding that note at that stage of your pregnancy... and I like the last sentence a lot. Thanks so much for your visit and comment.

I'm coming to the conclusion that I might not be ready for such a task. I think I can safely clean out my half of under the bed. At least then I'll feel like I did the item as best I could. But his half can wait for another day. Staying on FlyLady like I am, it's bound to come back around in a month or two. Kabu's advice to toss anything offensive wasn't too bad either.  I've been slowly doing that with the dishtowels that are from his other home. Anything tht looks older than three years old has to go, or anything that looks too girly...like something a guy would never buy...it goes, too. I just wrap it up in a grocery bag and toss it in the large trash outside. I've been buying cute little dishtowels every so often to replace them. Husband is probably just keeping them for practical reasons (he's pretty frugal) but I need my kitchen to myself...no uninvited visitors....

It is difficult to say anything because I fear adding fuel to the fire rightfully raging in you about your situation. Leave under the bed alone, for now just look at it as a messy office.

....I like it!!! I'll have to practice on a few unsuspecting victims first. I can just see the postman now...."Hey, Lady! Why did you just say that to me?".....reply: "Oh...just practising to work myself up to facing whatever's under my bed...."!

Very well said about growth.  And you can tell fear to kiss your butt!

Elyse!
I'm suspecting it will be nothing...it's just the fear of it. Nothing to fear but fear itself and all that....

you made a good choice ~ your choice not to do this right now.  I know of this anxst.  It's a true thing.  and not only that, but all situations require a different tactic. I think you're just wonderful Darson ~ (and let us know what you may have found, cause sometimes the booger bears are just dust bunnies with teeth) Elyse

Sometimes you never know what you're going to find when you clean. I've been grossed out a time or two myself.

Oh love it's tough some times isn't it......I guess some men are

less sensitive than others. Wiley is of course wonderful. Get a big garbage bag and if in doubt chuck. don'tlook just chuck. If he hasn't bothered with stuff for two years...I bet he has forgotten about it. If there are photo's don't look, just put them neatly in a box or something and hand it to him. Now don't forget...if in doubt....chuck.

PS. WE LOVE'S YA'
