Your post must have done it, BC-A; the black squirrel(s) has arrived back. Perhaps it was on vacation. I prefer the black because in this part of the world the red squirrel looks and acts more rodent-like than the black.

6 I love black squirrels. There’s a special one in Washington Square Park in New York. Only the one legged white pigeon of the flock of pigeons might mix with the other birds in balance. For myself they’re alright downtown. This year the weather seems hot in interest. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

We've had a family of crows feeding in our garden all winter. They are unusual visitors, but it is interesting to watch the system they use. One sits up on the tree and watches for invaders - one sits to one side on the ground and watches for danger. Only one forages for food, and it takes the food away so the three of them can eat it elsewhere. No wonder there are so many crows - they're not daft.

Gilbert is beginning to sound like a certainty for LOFT, sam. The mild temps are supposed to continue until Wednesday and then January is winding itself up to hand over to its nasty cousin, February. That is when winter really takes over, and I'll bet the month of Feb makes us pay for any frivolity we had in Dec. or Jan. Then it will be LOFW, as in 'lack of *** warmth.'

Birds are kinda like people to one another, always pecking at
the slightest sign of vulerability. Heard on some nature show the twittering and singing they do isn't happy chatter -- it's warning other birds off their territory. Alfred Hitchcock had something when he made the birds movie.

LOFT was so funny! I had never heard of it! lol all the day long! Maybe Gilbert Arenas from the NBA after his gun episode will be in this category! I mean he has spent more time hurt than playing, could it be that he is a candidate for the LOFT Award! lol Now I need a shovel to dig my way of this one! lol Have a great day!
