I adore that video with Patti Paige --- but am amazed at the video with the puppy understanding the language of it's country ~ This was a good respite - enjoyment and I thank you Elinjo  Elyse

Neat! And I also enjoyed the video - somehow it takes me back to what seems to have been a more innocent time...

I never thought about animals being more familiar with one languge than another. Pretty interesting read.

That song brings back memories. My eldest daughter had to dance to it in the dance show when she was about four! (Many years ago, now!)

never thought about a dog that is talk to in another language might not understand commands in English, but to be honest all though she was speaking English I had a hard time to understand her

Aww - so nice! My dogs are bilingual, Elinjo - I speak to them in English and/or French, and they respond to both. Sing that song to them all the time too, except I don't have Patti's voice, so the doggies start to howl. LOL!

Betty - you are a delight to read. You know I used to sing that song to my girls everytime they saw a dog...however, we never did keep one as a pet! And how fascinating that the dog just couldn't understand English. Made me laugh! Take care and have a pleasant day yourself.
