Daughter will Take Blind Cocapoo Home
My daughter finally decided to do the right thing and take her dog to her house. I had been begging AND PLEADING with her to take him to her house because of the constant scratching and barking. This has been a real problem for me and my family. I just hope she follows through with her decision. I'll keep you all posted.

Re: Blind Cocapoo
Hello, Someone sent me an email about this blog. She has a blind dog too. I told her to feel free to send her comments through this blog. Someone may be able to help her in the situation she's in. Curley didn't scratch the door last night. I started giving him some different vitamins. I guess the vitamins make him feel better or something. I am going to continue the vitamin routine. The vitamins smell like chicken. He loves them too!!

Good morning,
I am at work this morning. I have really thought about putting him down but it's a decision that I don't want to make. Yes, I am the main one caring for him and that is really stressful, time consuming, and tiring. When I get off work, I'll talk more. Have a blessed day. Thanks.

Re: Re: Sam444
My SIL had a dog that was blind and he came down with diabetes. She had to give him insulin shots twice per day! He did the same as your dog, pooping and peeing and destroying the house! She reached the point where you are and took him to the vet! She asked him what he would so. he said to be fair to the animal that was old, ill and getting worse, that if it were his animal he would put him down! It was awful but I went with her and he was put to sleep. It is never easy but it was the best thing! I would personally seek out the advice of a vet, that way you are not making the decision and hopefully all interested parties would accept the recommendation of a professional! How incredibly scary on the stranger! sam

Re: Sam444
If I took this blind and deaf animal to the shelter, the girls would probably hate me for the rest of their lives. I am serious. This situation is a pain. I have to wash dog bedding every single day. Did you hear me? Wash stinking dog bedding that has crap and piss on it. I guess what keeps me caring for this pet is the fact that I remember when he could hear and see. He would chase tennis balls and bring to back to me. He would bark and sometimes bite strangers that would come to close to my girls. Oh well, he is old, sick, blind, and deaf and I'm stuck caring for him. Any more ideas?

The Barking and Scratching!
I feel asleep for about an hour or so. Today has been a long day with corporate in the building all day. It's about 27 degrees outside. I hate having to take the dog out but he has to go outside and my husband is at his second job. I live on the outskirts of a small town and it's pretty spooky around here late at night. I was out with the dog about a week ago, at night, and out of no where this strange man appeared and asked to use my phone. I almost had a heart attack. Apparently, the next door neighbor noticed the man and came outside to see what was going on. Needless to say, my blind and deaf cocapoo had walked towards the scent of the stranger. Since my neighbor was standing right there I took a chance and handed this strange man my cell phone. Yes, I was really praying because I was scared as all day long. Well, I got to take curley outside. Since he can't see or hear, I have to wait until he finish pooping and pissing. There is a street in front of my house. After Curley finish, he heads straight for the street not the house. I don't want to sound selfish but I'm just tired of this. I really am tired of having to clean up behind this nasty pet. Yes, he is nasty. My house stinks!!!

Re: Re: Sam444
Oh my goodness! I don't know what one would do in this situation! I don't like saying this but have you considered the animal shelter? My daughter left her dog behind and I had a two bedroom townhouse at the time. I pleaded with her to take him but she just couldn't bring herself to do it! He was a gorgeous animal and I was able to find him a great home! Please find a way to cut your losses so to speak because you are entitled to peace and quiet after a long day at work! Let's keep in touch and I will listen any time! sam

Re: Sam444
Sam,
I just came home from work and the first thing I smell is urine. The heating system circulates that odor throughout the house. The neighbor told us that the dog is disturbing her during the day which I wouldn't know because I am at work. My husband is at work too. I am sure she is telling the truth because as soon as the dog hear my car pulling into the driveway he starts barking like crazy. I am taking online classes this semester and I just don't think I can deal with the barking and scratching all day and sometimes through the night. I asked my oldest daughter to please consider taking the dog back to Little Rock with her. That urine smell is just unbearable. I think I need to take the dog back to the vet again. Damn, there's shit every where! I can't take this! Oh well, pine sol, bleach, water, and a mop. I asked my husband to give the dog a bath because he fell over in the urine. He said he would but guess what he left and went to chill at my brother's house. I want to chill too. I don't like this. I am not happy. Sam feel free to write back. At least, you listen.
