KOOKA LIVES - I choose to admantly differ with you
If God is not perfect, then He is not God. I know I am not perfect and that most if not all around me are not either (though they may think they are), so I need someone who is to look up to, and trust my life with!

Also
My dear, even though I have never met you, I am sure you are not perfect. For there can be only one perfect person and I already have that post filled, with my sons taking turns at the position after I step down. For I have only created perfection, they just need a little training right now.

TooeleWriterGal
One of my beliefs is that all writers suffer from a God complex
I know I do
As you said, in a way we do play God in our stories,
Kind of fun I think

I want to add this to them: Total reality is a functioning thing that works despite the flaws we attribute to it. "Perfection" in the God sense may not at all be our linguistically derived definition of "perfection," but the word "perfection" might have been the closest word in mankind's lexicon to the notion of "devine perfection" Therefore, this might be an explanation for its use in the Bible -- so we could understand as best as possible something we are intellectually incapable of fully grasping.

Perfection is so boring
If I were God, I'd make imperfect people too.  Oh, wait, I like to write fiction...I am God...and my people all have adorable little flaws.  (Or huge flaws depending on the story...)
