I think our president knows that if he doesnt do anything the chickens will come home to roost, and i think he has been convinced by 20 or more years of his good friend the rev right that America needs to be punished. So he must show the terrorists that it is safe to attack and that he wont do anything, otherwise they may stop the attack and how will than the chickens come home???? As for madam Obama this must be the SECOND time in her adult life that she is proud of be an American
