Free will, one answer, while posing several others. Now it is my turn to ponder even more. I am motivated to contribute another post attempting an answer, solution. Aren't these like like the threads that stitch when in a novice's hand? While stitching one end, two others come off from another. That's why I like exercising the mind in philosophical complexities. I think "Finding Joy in the Joy of Others" has been, from the accolades I have received, one of my most satisfying posts as well. And that you could find joy and had an entire discussion, is my own joy, too. I am flattered beyond words and honored, both. BTW, I started writing poetry only very recently, encouraged and egged on by fine poets/poetesses around here at Blogit. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you so much Ely, and I wanted readers to ponder in this direction. You are not only just clear coming, as it does, from the depths of your heart this is a fine answer - the layers that veil men God does not subscribe to. God's creations stem from absolute zero ego, whereas man's, from the ego and nothing else. That is why man is incapable of creating anything. I so love your visits and your enthusiastic responses.  ~Aba

I believe in the free will that Elyse spoke of, also. But it poses several questions and mini-questions. I want you to know, too, abanerjee, that your last post was talked about at length, your "Finding Joy in the Joy of Others", around my home. We had an entire discussion on it, that is how chock-full of thought your entries are.

Very good question...wow --- leads me to ponder and I simply think that we are created in His image and He had free will --- therefore given free will - He chose --- and He chose to not sin --- however, since we, created in His likeness, we have free will - we have choice too...I think then much like looking through a glass darkly --- a veil is there when we sin, making the image of Christ as unrecognizable - for a reason...I believe then we don't have that image when we sin.  I hope I am making myself clear (as I see it in my humble view) Ely  great thoughts my dear Aba ~

I do agree with you fully, sam. God, while creating man in His own image outwardly, likeness in the physical, He also invests him with layers of self-deception inwardly, that he may toil to remove them consciously to find his true identity and his likeness with God's, as you say - "seeing a person come to the likeness of God is most exciting for me!"

Enquiry, true enquiry of the atheists are deeper reaching than those of plain atheists who remain more or less on the surface with no progress. Thanks, Iniquous, for your input and I extend my warm welcome to you in the Blogitlands.

I wonder about the same thing. I love this:

Therefore, answers

In Fruition must

Be sought.

Fruition, indeed! I like how the poem sparks thought! I don't find it irreverent whatsoever, for man is composed of three parts, [for me], body, soul and spirit; and being of free will, it is man who much envelop the image of God for it to become true fruition! Having been created is one aspect, seeing a person come to the likeness of God is most exciting for me! Something I strive for, too! sam

Enquiring minds want to know.
A healthy mind questions everything.  Otherwise, one becomes simply a bull with a ring in its nose.  Great writing!!
