This reminds me of one of my favorite quotes.
This one thing I do, letting go of what lies behind and pressing on to what's next.  Paul(paraphrased)

How utterly grand to see your chronological memories laced with achievements.  And that is a fabulous thing to do...shred the bad rubbish.  I have a barrel in the back part of our acreage and I would sometimes gather old journal notes etc... and burn.  Now, the fire marshal came out a couple of times, due to the heavy smoke billowing across the roads ... (this is truth) because my husband would add leaves and such.  But, I just may take up this practice again.  Have a great day and time with your Grandchild ~ Elyse

And now we're approaching those decades from all the old
science fiction. I wonder if those of us who were there in the 50s and 60s would have believed then how things have changed -- that folks in the midwestern U.S. could maintain neighborly relationships with folks in Australia, Denmark, Japan and etc. on the internet.

Great attitude Betty, to focus only on the positive. The Good Riddance day is a good idea! Enjoy the day with Joshua!

Looks like an eventful decade for you Betty - good for you. First time I've heard of Good Riddance Day - could not see the video as something is wrong with the computer (oh the same old story...) Perhaps I should try shredding papers too..Have a lovely time with your grandchild who is almost as tall as you.

Prediction
I see at least one grandchild in my next decade. My oldest turned 18 today. He is dating a girl that he spends more than 2000 minutes on the cell with AND more than 1400 text messages in a month. Did I mention they are together most weekends as well?
