Betty, I haven't had time to make all the resolutions I need to! The only one I'm making now is not to let anything get me down! and of course, take that trip! Thanks very much for your visits and kind comments. Hope all's well with you. Nita.

Healthy, Wealthy and Wise.
Now that's an expression I haven't heard in years. Betty, some of your expressions take me back to a day when life seemed much more simple. Happy New Year. I hope you can keep your resolutions.

I have made a pledge to write another novel in six months as opposed to comprising nearly all of the year along with pledging to enjoy the moment...I don't think that New Year's Resolutions are a waste. By and large I think the problems are that people go in with too many and do not have a clear focus.

its a waste of time as I have no will power and I have fought that diet battle one too many times

Congratulations on keeping your resolution! I believe you are the first person I have heard say this! The resolution song was quite cute, the double check was precious! Regarding the link for writing, I couldn't agree more that it is a matter of perseverance! Have a great day and happy New Year! Shelly

Good going, Elin  - sticking with your diet for so long.  I plan to start next Sept. when I'm an empty nester.  Then, I won't  feel the need to make big, full dinners for my whole family = AND I won't have to keep snack food around (I have awful willpower!).....Mal

Hope you're having a great holiday season, Elinjo. Loved the Erma cartoon - whoever writes those has a terrific sense of humour!

I'm planning to sell some stories this year...
maybe a novel. As for the diet -- don't drop your calorie count too drastically or you'll slow your metabolism and then when you do eat again, it will all turn to fat.
