So....we are similar in that sense, eh? And yes, I like to have my Bible right by my bed, to read first thing in the morning, if I don't have to get up too early. It's a comfort.

Thank you, FSI. I think you're a straight-shooter so I'm going to relish that compliment. I appreciate it.

I totally get both the bedroom and the Bible - the bedroom is my "catch-all" room with books piled high - my Bible is also right by my side.  Merry Christmas

...that was a most excellent (mini)-journey...congrats on your insight and awareness, in moving from insight and awareness into action and, especially, harmony in thought, word and deed. moon p.s. in other words, 'i'm impressed'

You make even the simplest things in life worth reading. You really do have a way with words and using them to convey emotions.

Dearest "Us'ns".....You are both a joy, as well! I love it that we can laugh together about my mishaps...and there's a lot more where that came from....(unfortunately!)...

Kabu is still laughing across the room because of course I  have to read you out loud to her even if she had already read you. "She is such a joy" she says of you and of course I have to agree through my loud guffaws. God Bless you and†Merry Christmas†with love from us'ns

Yep, some books are sacred, like my "Tuesdays With Morrie" by Mitch Albom. That will never, ever leave my side. Sounds like you are enjoying the 'abundance' that your life is mirroring..., that rich happiness that you've found in Canada with Wiley. I love it. There are some books that are sacred to me. You can feel that their 'intent' was pure....not a get rich thing, but that the author really cared. Sarah Ban Breathneck writes like that...she's another favorite.

Oh wellit alldepends....yes toss the rubbish books....they were written to

make someone else rich. For years ......I had my own bedroom and the ex.had his.Strange to think back on such sterility in life.

Anyway my bedroom was stark with simplicity but now in my new life it is full. Books and treasures and Christian symbols that we love.It is crowded but full of love. Not one book in the room is a waste of space. Some of mine I may never read again but I must have by me.

I completely agree. We have one that will probably be flying the coop sometime within the next year, and then his room will be the office. Can't wait! Like everything else, it seems to be a matter of biding my time and being patient. I will relish the haven of our bedroom so much more, once it is peaceful in there again. I'm with Oprah! The bedroom is NO place for a tv or computer or ANYTHING of that nature!

I am with the Flylady; my bedroom is my sanctuary and I try to keep it crisp, refreshing so that I sleep well! I was watching Oprah one day and she was talking about bedrooms! She said a TV, computer do not belong in the bedroom for there are better things to do! lol Loved that one! Have a great day, and git ta tossin'! lol sam
