I think the most important is to pursue the dream no matter where it leads! We never know! Merry Christmas! I bet the grandchildren are all agog today! sam

I love the way you refer to yourself in third person, that cracks me up. I do that sometimes, too. I like your writing style; quite conversational. And I envy the time you spend, watching movies, etc. It's so fulfilling to see something really fresh...I've found that 'freshness' in really old movies. Their wit is so clever and original, not resorting to smut, due to lack of creativity. This would be a wonderful way to spend my days. I'm completely jealous.

We need to learn to live with our respective skills and inclinations
and work on them, I guess.

Thanks, myrrhage
I've thought along similar lines recently, particularly since many of the novels and movies I've enjoyed recently make use of multiple character viewpoints. I began experimenting with this during my most recent NANOWRIMO effort. While I'm at it I also want to thank you for all your comments that have remained unanswered during the last couple of months. I appreciate your support and insight, and I'll try to express this more in the future. I think it's about time I returned to being more interactive.

hmmm... Well, you could always write a novel with a unifying theme, using several viewpoint characters to tell the story. I'm thinking along the lines of The Joy Luck Club (only probably not feminist lit, right?) In any case, good luck. I'm chasing the literary Grail myself. Paycheck or no, I feel lucky to be doing it.
