I've never heard of this hymm before. I find it to be very powerful.

Don't hear that one sung too often anymore.  It was in our Hymn Book at church when I was a child and we used to sing it at Christmastime along with the other carols.

What a poignant message! The school children were a delight! Have a marvelous Sunday, and a most joyous week! Thank you for stopping by, I always enjoy reading your thoughts and most grateful you understand my poetry! It was so cool to note that you were drinking tea as you read yesterday! Shelly

Re: stuffing
Chesnut stuffing, right? I must buy some. It is the best part, you are quite right.

What lovely cadence! H.W Longfellow's A Slave's Dream is an all-time fave of mine ... "He did not feel the driver's whip nor the burning heat of day ... for death had illumined his land of sleep and his lifeless body lay ............"

I love Longfellow's writing! Thanks for this Elinjo - it was nice reading. What fun it will be to have your family with you for a good turkey dinner! If they are like my own, makes lots of stuffing - it's the first thing everyone wants when they get to the table, lol!
