And what it is that we do with the word is what counts...Wopila, I have a feeling, will be somewhat life-changing for me. Now that I've heard it, I won't be the same.

I learned a new word, one that I had no idea of before.

You Sweetie! Same to you, Justi, a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I am currently going through things to give away as White Elephants...and find myself stuck on only giving things away that I know I can do without....giving my best requires digging much deeper. It's that 'Widow's Mite' thing.

I love this. I have said it so much I need a new way... Your writing is wonderful and so inspirational. I loved that you mentioned that the Creator gave it all to us. He, God, does not like a void, he will fill it with much better even if it is not material but peace. I always find that I receive some good things, be it words, things or simple peace when I get rid of things. How did we get into this junking in the first place? MERRY CHRISTMAS DEAR LADY!

Elyse!
Ohhhh...! What a GREAT IDEA! We should do this before Christmas, Easter, etc. too....clearing out the old that we don't use anymore to make way for new items that are sure to be coming in. WOW I can't tell you how I love this. You were (are) very wise, Elyse! And I'm not surprised that your children still do this...you've trained them up in the way that they should go. Nice work, Mom! WOPILA!

Wopila it is ~  ~ and I will study this 'ritual' as I think it most favourable.  Reminds me of when I was rearing my 4 here - come their birthdays I would have them go through their 'toys' and clutter and gift to the needy - before they received new - and that is the way they were raised - and now, I tell you, it surprises me to see them act out this again and again as they're older...we know Wopila somehow and it's a good Godly thing.  you make me smile Darson, always ~ xoxoxo  Elyse

"Custodian' is the PERFECT word; or 'stewards', perhaps. Yes, that's exactly the sentiment that I've been trying to describe. Thank you for sending it my way. We use the items, we care for them, take care of them, and then let them go, when and if it's time to....precisely, Kabu! You understand me completely. And to those that love you, those things that were your's when it's your time to go; they will be priceless...not because of the items themselves, but because of whence they came...from our precious Kabu.

Oh good foryou....don'tlet anything own you and if you forgot
you had some of those things then you don't need them anyway.Let someone else enjoy them. I dosee what you are saying.I think about the treasures that my dear parents owned that I now have and no I don't own them, I am just custodian for my life time. One day someone else will enjoy them when I am no more than ashes in the wind.
