J Interestingly the cold in Christmas songs can dampen the holiday spirit. BC-A, Bill’s Roost

I am at the other end of the christmas season
all those years I have hated this month and this holliday, I even used to wish I can go away for the month of december and not deal with it, the last two years I just love it, both are ok, you should just act the way you feel there is a reason that you feel the way you do.

Just be yourself.  That's the magic of Christmas.  It's lovely and wonderful no matter what mood you are in.

Re: Where've you been? Your writing is so ... readable.

Pat B---

Oh, thank you so much for your comment!  You made my day, and that's a fact.

I am a well- and truly-frustrated writer of decades.  I signed up for Blogit just last Monday, think it was, mainly so I could say (with a pout), "I've tried everything to get pubished!"

But yes, we live is the middle of Redmond, WA, a few blocks from where my husband works.  We are in a trailer park, but our corner is shielded and ringed with mature cedars, mostly, and firs, and you are so right about the smell.

So . . . were you closer to, say, North Bend or Issaquah?

Again, Pat B, thanks SO MUCH for your response.

Where've you been? Your writing is so ... readable.
I backtracked you from Taps' blog, to find you're in the Pacific NW -- Bet it smells wonderful there amongst the trees, Christmas or no. And you've been here a while. invisibly. I grew up on the western slope of the Cascade foothills. Hope you stick around Blogit.
