You and Marilyn must have the same outlook on food.. Do you read the same?
Abuelita,
Marilyn, always reads the last couple pages of a book, to learn if it is even worth reading! That would ruin the story, for me. She always eats her dessert first too, then she eats the rest of the meal! I once asked her why she always did this, was it a throwback to some traumatic event of her youth? She told me that she always has been convinced that with luck like hers, she will die just as she finishes the meat, potatoes & vegetables, (except for the CARROTS, of course) and Death will strike, just as she is reaching for the pie-Ala-Mode! Her philosophy is, "Why take that chance?" I suppose this might also explain why she wants to know the ending of a story too, she might someday be found, suddenly an EX-person, holding a mostly read book!
Good to hear from you, my friend, I never know if I have said something to make you angry with me. That's one of my inborn natural talents, (NOT INBRED, Silly!) that just seems to come easily, to me. Gotta work on that.

My favorite comfort food: tomato soup from a can - I know what you mean.

Are you better?

the best thing for your body to do when you are sick
and the fastest way to heal, believe it or not it is to fast. healing takes place much faster, that is the reason why we loose our appetite when we are sick, clue';) your body knows what it needs, why not give it for health.

Sorry you've been so sick.
It reminds me that when I was a kid, whenever I was sick, Mom
would make me garlic soup.  LOL.
I think it worked--I'm still alive.

grrrr...sorry...what I'm trying to say is..
the comfort foods make us feel so good that we forget or just don't care how bad they are for us.  Kind of like drugs I guess, but legal.  lol
