I've noticed

Lazarus, yes I've noticed. However, you seem to come up with some pretty wild conjectures based on the searches. Maybe people read only what they want to when Googling. ;-)

but what people forget is not to believe everything they find on Google or anywhere on the net

Vanity and useful

beachbelle, I think Googling can be very useful at times...whether for vanity or information. Not sure how we as a civilization survived without Google five years ago. :)

My Google Number's 5'580 doing it your way, but...

Ironically I did a quick search on Google this morning, just to see if my own website actually appeared in the rankings; unfortunately it didn't appear (damn!) but I did find an interesting site with my name on it.  I blogged about it this morning at http://www.bloggingnetwork.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/bad_dad/63647
