Re: Elinjo
Thanks John for your visit. Yes, it is 'signs' not 'sings'; that's what it says in the caption anyway. Perhaps the contributor to Photobucket made a mistake, when he/she typed it in; I do not know from which of the thousands of Tagore poems it comes from.

I visited India about 15 years ago and I'll never forget it.  Thanks for the links.

I have a great interest in India, I'd like to visit Imphal before I die and visit my brother Mike's grave at Imphal. I love the inscription with the photo of Rapindranath Tagore and want to get it right. It is written; "Faith is the bird that feels the light and signs (sings?) when the dawn is still dark" Wonderful post and links which I visited

I've found myself not appreciating information and advice until much later.

It amazes the seeds that get planted so innocently and come to bloom at a later time when they are most appreciated! Shelly

Betty, your post brought back great memories; during my childhood/school days, we lived a few hours away from Shantiniketan, and went there quite often. Tagore had such enlightened ideas! I plan to take Ashish there on our next visit to Calcutta. Thanks for your visit, and interesting posts and specially the links! Have a good weekend! Nita.

He just overloaded your brain when you were young is all
it's like visiting a great art Gallery or museum. One can only take in so much.It is best to leave before that happens because it is tough to remember anything properly. I guess he was so excited and over enthusiastic, he didn't realize either that your mind was just closing down with overload..........but whata great experience. I never got to India would have really liked to have.

I will definitely check out those links too and to think that you have been to all of these historical places is a gift in itself. At least now you can associate them with your memories. You did a good job of raising your daughter and even I learnt quite a bit too from you. Thanks so much for constant encouragement of my work and I must tell you that each day I post I look forward to reading you and your comments. So you see Betty even here you are needed very much. Have a lovely weekend too.

Beautiful words.

Betty, beautiful words. As we get older in life, the regrets seem to come more frequently, wouldn't you agree? However, one must live for today and not dwell on the past. As Mr.Spock would say, "Live long and Prosper".

I certainly will check out those links.
