Yep - I'm a firm believer in the 6th degree. Your article was very well done - loved the attitude you gave the characters in his paintings. They are doing what makes them happy, and so what? Makes one curious to see his work. Cool!

hehehehehehm, Six Degrees of Separation, hehehehehehhhh

Kevin Bacon, love that...............

in your suite 101 article, your last two sentences or so, you use the word "portrait" which could mean that he uses people in his and as his portraits. A unique use of the word, however, turning a noun into a verb.  Modern writers sometimes do that now........

But, were you thinking of the word 'portray', possibly, as the spelling with your French speaking background, etc. might have made you spell it as portrait.  ??!?!?!? Like cafe au lait.........

Just that darned editor in me, wondering.

Otherwise, the story was picture perfect, informative and made the reader want to know more. A really good thing to accomplish.

You the man, as the young people say.

I remember there being something called "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" based off of this.
