Come and join my family for Christmas, Vogue! I'll share - and I'm certain you'll love them all. If you don't have a winter coat for the Quebec weather, we've all got extras of those too. How about it? I even have an extra computer for your writing, and the winter scenes in these mountains are gorgeous!!

I find many getting sad during the holidays, as they miss those old family members and feel alone.

Vogue

A very elegant tree! And I didn't know that those are Hanukkah colours! I notice in our neihbourhood blue Christmas lighting is very much the 'in' thing. Not being really up one the latest in Christmas fashion, my lights are still red and yellow...

And I'm sure your 'Blogit family' will do its best to keep you cheerful over Christmas...

Hi Vogue - those are Hanukkah colors on that tree!  I was reading through your last few posts after working on several deadlines for a regional Home magazine.  A couple of weeks ago, I interviewed homeowners  for a Contemporary home photo spread. I interviewed one guy - a photographer - who had these great "Jazz Age" paintings all over his house.  He collects originals by a guy named - you guessed it - Clifford Baily!  Today, I opened up Blogit to read your posts about his show in Miami.  What are the odds that I'd hear this artist's name twice in two weeks!!!  Mal

Oh, vogue, it makes me sad to know that this time of year is a sad time for you.

I think that I must have lived through the hottest and coldest Xmas possible on earth: the Aussie 45oC in the shade and the -45oC in Québec! Talk about a "little" difference in temperature, specially when you come back to Canada from Australia at the end of January and that you have to get on your hands and knees, in the snow and ice, with a hammer to knock you car's breaks that are frozen solid...with a 18 months old baby crying to want to go to the beach...Ahhhhh, what a nice parental souvenir...LOL

I like the blue tree. But there's nothing like the scent of
evergreen in the house during the holiday season. Did I mention we're supposed to get snow here in Mundane this evening? I'm thinking of baking some cookies to mail out to the grandkids...

Being Australian I of course am used to a hot Christmas and yes
the festivities are just as much fun.

That's a very elegantly dressed Christmas tree. Plastic trees are not very common here, so people bring their trees into the house usually on Christmas Eve.

That's a really pretty tree.  We don't want you to be sad, so just hold Christmas in your heart and enjoy signs of Christmas around you.
