Re: I listened to a virtuoso vilinist last night, from Eastern Europe.

majroj, missed hearing from you.  I always liked Mancini. Percy Faith was a favorite, too, but he didn't use Eastern European violins, either. And I loved that, that wild music from Italian western spaghetti movies, with Cllint Eastwood !?!?!?!? It all takes me flying back to Rio inside my head and imagination, wandering lost down Memory Lanes....

I hope that you had the loveliest of holiday evenings with your wonderful spouse. I have been listening to the oldest of old Donny Hathaway songs and feeling sorry for the girl that lived back then. She was such a fool, NOT that she's changed much since then, she's just been keeping a lower profile.

I listened to a virtuoso vilinist last night, from Eastern Europe.

If called up[on to pay a great song from his homeland, he woul porbaby choose Smetna's Moldau or some such. His American song? Henry Mancini's "Moon River".

And I always thought it would be the theme to Disney's "It's A Small World".
