You know TAPS ~ I was very touched by your poem here ---and the beautiful song/music.  I am a bit weepy at times this year as I will not have all my family, hardly any 'round this year.  It will actually be only my son and my husband and all my dogs of course.  I was tearful remembering the death of my MIL just 4 mos ago and of all our parents now gone...our older children off to or away so far with their own holiday --- and my daughter - my wee Sarah off this holiday with her beau's family.  This touched me xxooxx Elyse

I agree with you--special days bring a lot of nostalgia and sadness too! Thanks very much for your comment. Nita.

TAPS
A truly lovely, if somewhat sad and nostalgic poem, so appropriate for this time of year...

Re:  janey ~
Holidays and special times seem to place a spotlight focus on the empty chairs.

Thank you for your prayer slideshow - so true in all it said.   This is our first Thanksgiving without two very precious loved ones - "memories are landing hard", but we are indeed thankful for their lives.  Your post meant alot to me.
